What is Chorus?Chorus is a free app that helps you connect with friends from Facebook, email, Twitter and exchange information about apps you like.
How is Chorus different?Chorus uses the power of your social network to share and discover apps. We believe ‘social discovery’ is a great way to find the right apps for you.
How does Chorus work?Chorus is an app and a community all rolled into one. Chorus uses Social Genome™ technology to help you tap the power of your friends to discover new apps.
Is Chorus free?Yes, Chorus is a free app available to download from Apple’s App Store and Nokia’s Ovi store . You can download it from the App Store or the Ovi Store.
How do I get started with Chorus?You can be up and running in just a few easy steps:
- Download Chorus from the App Store or the Ovi Store – it’s free.
- Signup so your friends can find you.
- Add friends so you can discover apps together.

Device and Software
If I don’t have an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or a Nokia smartphone, can I still use Chorus?The current version of Chorus only works with iOS devices and Nokia smartphones. We are planning to release Chorus for other mobile devices, so stay tuned! If you want to be notified when Chorus is available for your device, click here.
Does Chorus work with all iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad models?Yes, Chorus works with all iPhone models and iPod touch models. Chorus is not designed to work with the iPod classic and iPod nano models.
Which Nokia smartphone models is Chorus available for?Chorus has been tested to work on Nokia Series 60 smartphone models, but it may also work on other Nokia smartphones.
Can I use Chorus from my PC or Mac?Currently, the only way to access Chorus is by running the Chorus app on supported mobile devices.
What is Chorus Application Loader?Chorus Application Loader is a tool we built to make it easy for you to list all the apps you have downloaded to your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad (Note: Chorus will not list or share apps rated 17+ by Apple.). Get started with Chorus Application Loader by clicking here. Application loader is not required for Nokia smartphones.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your Chorus password, first sign out from Chorus on your mobile device by tapping "Sign out" on the My Profile page. Then, when you go to sign in again, tap "Forgot your password? Tap here."
You will then receive an email from us with your temporary Chorus password. Don't forget to create a new password by tapping "Settings" on the My Profile page.
After signing in to Chorus, tap on "Settings" on the My Profile page. You can then change your password by tapping on the password button.
Social Discovery
Why should I invite my friends to use Chorus?Chorus is more fun when you see what your friends are downloading and rating highly. Of course, Chorus is also a social discovery community that helps you share your app reviews and ratings with other Chorus users.
How do I invite friends to use Chorus?To invite your friends, first open Chorus on your phone. Tap on the “Friends” icon, and then tap on the plus sign (+) at the top of the page. You can then add friends from a variety of different sources including your contact list, Facebook, Twitter, or from other Chorus users near you. (Location based connection not supported on all mobile devices.)
How do I recommend an app to a friend?To recommend an app to a friend, first open Chorus on your mobile device. Tap on the “Apps” icon and find the app you want to recommend. After you select the app, you will see a button that says “Recommend to Friends.” Follow the instructions.
How do I discover apps on Chorus?There are many ways you can discover apps using Chorus, including:
- App recommendations: apps are recommended to you by Chorus using our innovative Social Genome™ technology.
- Activity feed: see what your friends and other Chorus users are downloading and saying about their apps.
- Search: Find apps by name in the “Search” box.
In addition to reading what your friends and other Chorus users, have to say about a given app, you can also send a message to any of your friends who own the app asking for more information.
Can I still use Chorus if none of my friends have iPhones or iPod touches?Definitely. Although Chorus works best when you have a group of friends all using it, you can still benefit from the reviews by other Chorus users. The Nokia Chorus users can only see other Nokia users and friends’ activities, and iOS Chorus users can only see other iOS Chorus users and friends’ activities.
App Buying and Downloading
How do I buy / download apps on Chorus?Click on the app you want to download. On the app info page, click on the 'FREE' or price button. This will take you to the Apple App Store or the Nokia Ovi Store, where you can complete your purchase.
Privacy
What about my privacy?We take your privacy very seriously and give you full control over how much information you want to share with others. For example, you control who sees which apps you download and any reviews you write. To access your privacy controls on Chorus, tap on “Settings” on the Profile tab. Chorus will not list or share apps rated 17+ by Apple or Ovi. Please see our Privacy Policy for more detailed information.
Will Chorus send spam emails to me and my friends?No. We give you control over what types of Chorus emails and updates you receive from us and what your friends see. To change your sharing and email preferences, tap on “Settings” on the Profile tab.
Does Chorus share my personal information with advertisers or spammers?No. We respect your right to privacy and do not share personally identifiable information with anyone without your explicit permission. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
Can the Chorus Application Loader access my personal files on my computer?Chorus Application Loader looks only for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad apps on your PC or Mac by scanning your iTunes library. It does not access your personal files. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.
